Our Impact: 15 Years of Positive Change
London Heritage Quarter has driven lasting improvements across central London, making our shared spaces safer, cleaner, more inclusive, and vibrant for all. By working collectively and collaboratively across Victoria, Victoria Westminster, Whitehall, and The Northbank districts, we’ve delivered tangible outcomes that reflect our commitment to the people and places we serve.

Strand Aldwych - £22m of Capital Investment
A project first proposed 30 years ago but originally deemed too difficult to deliver is now an exemplar model for public-private collaboration. Thanks to our initial funding and feasibility work, followed by contributions from others and £22m of capital investment from Westminster City Council, Strand Aldwych has transformed one of London’s busiest and most polluted streets into a vibrant destination. Over 7000m² of roadway has been converted into a welcoming pedestrianised space, linking key cultural and educational centres. Strand Aldwych continues to be recognised for its excellence in urban design, heritage preservation, and sustainability, receiving accolades such as the Mayor’s Award for Good Growth at the BusinessLDN Awards, as well as recognition from New London Architecture and Festival of Place – The Pineapples.

Christchurch Gardens - £2.5m Capital Investment
Another major success has been the transformation of Christchurch Gardens. Thanks to our initial £385,000 investment and feasibility work, Westminster City Council committed £2.5 million in capital investment to deliver extensive landscaping and redesign. The gardens officially reopened in September 2020, and we played a key role in shaping the vision with input from local stakeholders. We continue to work alongside the council to ensure the gardens remain a high-quality and well-maintained public space.

Project SWAN - £1bn Sustainable Energy Network
Sustainability continues to underpin everything we do. Through Project SWAN, we’re working with the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ), Westminster City Council, and private partners to develop a low-carbon heat network for the area.
The SWAN Partnership has recently been awarded £21 million by DESNZ from the Green Heat Network Fund. This grant funding will support the development and construction of the heat network, unlocking significant private investment into the project and helping make the network more affordable for customers.

£40,000 Contributed to ActionFunder in 2024
Our commitment to an inclusive economy underpins everything we do. Through our Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) initiatives, we promote wellbeing, skills development, education, and local business engagement. In 2024 alone, we contributed £40,000 to local grassroots projects via ActionFunder. We also support inclusive employment opportunities, such as The Hotel School, which trains vulnerable individuals for roles in hospitality and helps them secure sustainable work, providing real-life pathways to stability and growth.

Community Safety & Business Resilience
We work closely with key partners such as the Metropolitan Police, British Transport Police, Westminster City Council, the Greater London Authority, outreach services, and the Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure. Together, we make our streets safer and strengthened the resilience of local businesses.
Through our free radio network, our teams support rapid incident response and foster community-wide communication. Each year, we conduct tens of thousands of business welfare checks and proactive patrols, helping reduce crime and anti-social behaviour while preparing for future challenges.

Cleaning & Greening
We aim to provide a clean, welcoming and cared for environment. Working hand-in-hand with Westminster City Council and other partners, our teams ensure that our vibrant city centre remains a beautiful and accessible destination for workers, residents, and visitors alike. Every year, we remove thousands of pieces of graffiti, sweep extensive stretches of paving, and collect countless bags of litter.
