The Whitehall Business Improvement District was established in February 2021 after 95% of levy paying businesses voted ‘yes’ at the ballot with a 69% turnout, firmly endorsing the creation of a new BID in Whitehall to provide the local business community with a strong voice to drive change, innovation and stimulate additional investment into the area.

Local businesses in the Whitehall BID voted in favour of renewing the Whitehall Business Improvement District (BID) for a second consecutive term in March 2023, when 81% voted ‘yes’ at the ballot.

The Whitehall BID covers one of the most globally significant political locations. Flanked by the Palace of Westminster and Trafalgar Square, this special part of London has been home to our most powerful institutions since the 11th Century.

From the Cenotaph to Horse Guards Parade, from the Cabinet Office to Downing Street, Whitehall has become a national symbol of history and politics, epitomising the UK’s status on the world stage.
