Victoria BID Renewal Ballot

The Victoria Business Improvement District (BID) has been operating since 2010 and in that time we have invested over £30m through levy funding and partner contributions back into our local area in support of businesses, their staff and customers. As we near the end of our third term, we must now go through a statutory ballot process in which you, as a representative of an eligible organisation within the footprint, decide whether the Victoria BID continues for a fourth term between 2025-30. We have achieved so much over the past 15 years, yet we still have more to do in order to maintain our area’s position as a world-class destination to work and visit.

Ambitions for 2025-30

Based on trends up to 2040, our consultation analysis, and ongoing conversations with businesses, our 2025-30 Business Plan sets out the vision, projects and services we hope to deliver for you over the next five years. A majority ‘Yes’ vote in the ballot would enable the outlined programme of activity to be delivered from 1st April 2025, whereas an unsuccessful ballot outcome would see the work of the BID come to an end.

You can download our Business Plan here. Four overarching aims underpin the document:

  1. Create a more environmentally sustainable business district and tackle climate
change by championing a quarter wide approach to adaptation and decarbonisation
of local emissions, in line with the City of Westminster’s ambition for a net zero
    borough by 2040.
  2. Make London Heritage Quarter the destination of choice for emerging sectors by
engaging with leaders to understand their priorities and working with partners to
make sure that the office and after-work offer responds to their needs.
  3. Maintain our role as an important bridge between the private and public sector,
enabling partnerships that drive positive change not only in the BID area but the
    wider community too.
  4. Leverage the collective strength to lobby for sustained local and central government
investment in the Victoria BID. This will help keep London at the forefront of the
economy while consolidating the global relevance of the London Heritage Quarter by
fostering relationships and knowledge sharing with organisations worldwide.
