Barrafina Adelaide Street

Barrafina Adelaide Street, the second Barrafina restaurant from Harts Group, opened in July 2014. The restaurant features a long marble-top bar where guests can sit and watch the chefs at work.

Chef Director Ángel Zapata Martín leads the kitchen and menu development across all five Barrafina restaurants. Barcelona-born Ángel brings a wealth of culinary experience from around the world, including time at the three Michelin-starred Catalan restaurant Can Fabes in Barcelona, as well as teaching at the internationally recognised Hofmann School and its one Michelin-starred restaurant.

The menu consists of both classic and contemporary tapas, crafted with meticulously sourced, seasonal ingredients from Spain and the British Isles. The à la carte menu includes dishes unique to Barrafina Adelaide Street, such as milk-fed lamb’s kidneys, Ràfols salt cod a la Catalana, arroz de mariscos, dry-aged sirloin with oloroso sauce, and Iberian pork cheeks. A daily specials menu is also available. Guests can enjoy the Hart Bros Special Selection Manzanilla sherry by the glass or bottle, alongside a succinct wine list featuring lesser-known but noteworthy Spanish producers.

Downstairs, Barrafina Adelaide Street offers a beautiful private dining room with an open kitchen, allowing guests to observe the chef at work. The space accommodates between 8 and 30 seated guests and can host standing drinks and pintxos receptions for up to 50. Feasting-style menus, designed for sharing, highlight traditional cooking from Spain’s diverse provincias. All guests are required to select the same menu, with vegetarian and vegan options available upon request.
