Specially created for entertaining in 1622, the Banqueting House ‘party palace’ astounded London society, and it still has the power to dazzle and impress today. Designed by Inigo Jones for James I, the building was built in the Palladian style and is one of England’s earliest classical buildings.

The awe-inspiring Main Hall is at the heart of Banqueting House. Bathed in natural light and crowned by Rubens’ celebrated canvases, this space can accommodate large-scale events with elegance and ease. Whether you are welcoming clients, hosting a gala, or staging a high-profile launch, the Main Hall guarantees a memorable experience for every guest.

Originally enjoyed as a drinking den by James I, the intimate vaulted Undercroft is now the perfect venue for a stylish and imaginative party, drinks reception or intimate dinners. With its cosy archways and snug corners, the Undercroft is as charming as the Main Hall is grand.
