Taj 51 Buckingham Gate Suites & Residences Welcomes Le Petit Chef to London’s Royal District

The world’s smallest chef brings immersive dining, 3D storytelling and five-star hospitality to one of London’s most distinctive addresses

Taj 51 Buckingham Gate Suites & Residences is set to welcome Le Petit Chef this summer, as the globally renowned immersive dining experience launches a new London residency.

A memorable addition to a London itinerary, this extraordinary two-hour dining show is ideally placed for visitors exploring Buckingham Palace, St James’s Park, Westminster and the West End, offering families, food lovers and theatre fans a playful way to end a day of sightseeing.

Taking place at Kona, the hotel’s elegant dining space, Le Petit Chef will run every Friday to Sunday from 5 June 2026, bringing its pioneering blend of 3D mapping technology, theatrical storytelling and high-end gastronomy to Taj 51 Buckingham Gate.

Across the table, the 58-millimetre-tall maestro chops, sizzles and journeys through his miniature world.

From there, the Taj 51 culinary team picks up the story, translating each scene into a five-course menu designed to move seamlessly from screen to plate. Dishes include goat’s cheese, onion & mushroom quiche with microgreens & balsamic drizzle; thyme chicken roulade & saffron potato velouté, buttered beans & raspberry coulis; French duck leg confit with broccoli, beetroot & truffle jus and an interactive chocolate sphere with Pailleté Feuilletine, chocolate crémeux, cherry compote, fresh berries & meringue.

Each sitting lasts for approximately two hours and is created using projection mapping by Belgian artist collective Skullmapping. Since 2015, co-founders Filip Sterckx and Antoon Verbeeck have helped shape the world of immersive dining by bringing digital characters into physical spaces, creating unforgettable events that merge animation, theatre and gastronomy.

“At Taj 51 Buckingham Gate Suites & Residences, we are always looking for ways to surprise and delight our guests, and Le Petit Chef does exactly that,” says Corinna Luebbe, Cluster General Manager. “Blending storytelling, technology and beautifully crafted cuisine in a way that feels playful yet refined, this offers a truly unique way to enjoy one of London’s most distinctive settings.”

The London run will take place in partnership with 2Spicy Entertainment GmbH, the team behind Le Petit Chef’s international success. With a variety of menu options, including a Juniors Menu, the show is designed to feel intimate and imaginative, making it a natural addition to a London stay.
