We were delighted to that NLA On Location came to London Heritage Quarter, hosting an event at Westminster Chapel. During the session, Westminster City Council presented its Sustainable Neighbourhoods policy and practices, showcasing how Westminster is evolving to create a vibrant, fair, and sustainable urban environment.
Strand Aldwych was highlighted as an example of best practice, delivering a high-quality public realm that revitalises Westminster. The integration of Culture and Place Shaping under a new director underscores the Council’s commitment to creating exceptional public spaces, animated by a dynamic, ongoing programme of activities that are inclusive, innovative, and reflective of the area’s rich cultural potential.
The session also featured three walking tours through various areas of Victoria, including LHQ projects such as Future Victoria, Project SWAN, and Christchurch Gardens. Several partner projects were visited too, including Hub Victoria, Eccleston Yards, and Greycoat Stores. The evening concluded at Ebury Edge, an award-winning “meanwhile” community space.
