Project Reshare: Keeping Materials in Use Across the Quarter
Project Reshare keeps valuable materials circulating within London Heritage Quarter by linking organisations carrying out refurbishments, refits or developments with local groups that can put surplus items to good use.
Rather than items being immediately placed in waste streams or sent further afield, this initiative facilitates the redistribution of items locally – supporting local businesses, schools, charities and community groups.
Project Reshare aligns with our vision for a sustainable district, embedding circular economy principles into everyday business practice. It strengthens relationships across London Heritage Quarter through circular collaboration, reduces disposal and procurement costs while cutting carbon emissions.
Why take part in Project Reshare?
- Keeps materials in use for longer by circulating items locally
- Reduces disposal costs for donors and procurement costs for recipients
- Cuts carbon emissions by avoiding waste taken elsewhere
- Strengthens community connections through shared resources
- Receive testimonials and metrics for impact reporting
The project is a key part of our Sustainability Action Plan and aligns with Vision 2040, which champions recycling, upcycling, and responsible waste management.
How it works
For donors (businesses and developers with surplus items)
If you’re refurbishing or clearing space, we can share your inventory quickly and easily with local organisations that can make use of your unwanted items, before you put them through other pathways elsewhere. Get in touch to find out how it works: Contact info@london-hq.co.uk
For recipients (organisations looking for items)
We maintain a registry of local organisations interested in receiving items. When items become available, we can include you in our notification emails. Get in touch to be added to our registry: Contact info@london-hq.co.uk
