Give Back this Christmas

St. Vincent’s Family Project is our chosen charity partner for the 2026 Christmas period. Christmas for families struggling on a low income can be the worst time of year. Not only do they see fuel bills starting to go up there is the added pressure of being able to afford all the extra activities, festivities and gifts. Parents often feel guilty they cannot do what other parents can for their children. St. Vincent’s Family Project have put together a whole package of free activities for Westminster families with children under 5 to enjoy, make friends and create memories for themselves. This includes a grotto with gifts and Santa, Pantomime, Concert and other events, attended by families from Christian and non-Christian backgrounds. Any donation made will go towards making the period an enjoyable one for families. Make a donation today!

There are many other fantastic organisations you can support throughout the season too. Whether through volunteering, donating or raising awareness, supporting local charities is a meaningful way to share the spirit of Christmas. Find out ways you can support various organisations across London Heritage Quarter.

Support People Sleeping Rough with The Connection at St Martin’s

Winter can be an especially challenging time for people experiencing homelessness, with cold temperatures making life on the streets even more difficult. The Connection at St Martin’s works to support people experiencing homelessness in London, helping them access essential services, find shelter and take steps towards a more secure future.

There are several ways to support the charity and people sleeping rough this winter:

  • Make a donation: Your contribution can help fund essential services, outreach programmes, food and shelter, helping the team reach more people and bring them in from the cold.
  • Donate warm clothing and essentials: Consider donating warm clothing, blankets, sleeping bags and other essential supplies. Contact the charity to find out what items are most needed and how to donate them.
  • Offer a warm drink or a friendly conversation: Small acts of kindness can make a real difference. A hot drink, a meal or a few minutes spent chatting can offer comfort and help someone feel less isolated.
  • Raise awareness: Share information about homelessness and the challenges people sleeping rough face during the winter months. Helping others understand the issue is an important step towards building a more compassionate community.
  • Support long-term change: Homelessness requires lasting solutions as well as immediate support. Learn more about the policies and initiatives needed to tackle homelessness and how you can support advocacy for change.
  • Every act of kindness counts. Whether you donate, raise awareness or support the charity’s work in another way, you can help The Connection at St Martin’s make a difference to people experiencing homelessness this Christmas.
