King’s Scholars’ Passage Community Garden was recognised as ‘Outstanding’ at London in Bloom. Awarded in the ‘It’s Your Neighbourhood’ category, this recognition celebrates the hard work of dedicated volunteers, the support of The Passage, and the resilience of the garden itself. Representatives from the group expressed gratitude for the generosity of corporate donors and emphasized the volunteers’ efforts in bringing this community project to life.
Sarah MacDonald Eggers shared, “we are delighted to have achieved a level 5 outstanding award for KSP Community Garden as this project has been an exercise in trial and error combined with a labour of love. The garden is quirky, imperfect and random in every way imaginable. However, through the commitment of our volunteers and the clients and staff of The Passage, the generosity of corporate donors, the resilience of our plants and the encouragement of our neighbourhood it has thrived.”
Bridget Jacob commented, “we’re absolutely delighted to be awarded Level 5 Outstanding this year. Lots of hard work from all our volunteers, in all kinds of weather and unwavering support from The Passage makes it a great project to be part of”
