Crafted in collaboration with Wedgwood—a Royal Warrant holder for fine china—Conrad London St. James presents Royal Afternoon Tea, an exquisite spread of delicate finger sandwiches, intricate pâtisserie, and free-flowing Champagne, all served on Wedgwood’s finest. No crown required—this is InfiniTEA, the hotel’s signature bottomless afternoon tea.
The experience begins with a selection of finger sandwiches, each offering a refined take on tradition. Coronation chicken – first created for Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation banquet – is rich with warm spices and a creamy texture. Smoked salmon with herb mayonnaise and capers, a favourite at royal gatherings, brings a balance of freshness and indulgence. Organic egg with watercress and truffle is silky and full of depth, while beef pastrami with sauerkraut and cream cheese is bold, smoky, and satisfyingly tangy. And, of course, cucumber and mint – because no afternoon tea is complete without it.
The pâtisserie follows, each piece crafted with precision and artistry. A silky dark chocolate mousse, infused with the delicate aroma of Earl Grey. The Royal Windsor pink gin and lemon verbena tart, with crisp pastry and a smooth, zesty filling. A Victoria sponge reimagined with orange and raspberry – a tribute to Queen Victoria’s beloved teatime classic. Finally, millionaire shortbread layered with golden caramel fudge.
Warm Scones complete the experience, served, in an array of flavours: Jersey butter, raisin, dark chocolate stracciatella, and blueberry lemon, paired with Cornish clotted cream, The Orchard’s homemade lemon curd, and strawberry jam.
And because afternoon tea should feel endless, InfiniTEA ensures Bollinger Champagne never stops pouring. Guests can enjoy bottomless Bollinger Special Cuvée Brut NV (£95) or Bollinger Rosé (£105) – an occasion made for toasting, again and again. For those who prefer tea over bubbles, the InfiniTEA Sommelier Experience (£75) offers a flight of four expertly curated teas, selected to complement the menu’s layers of flavour.
