Explore Justice Up Close – UK Supreme Court Welcomes Visitors for Exclusive Public Tours

Ever wondered what happens inside the UK’s highest court? This summer, the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom is offering the public a rare opportunity to find out. With an extended programme of guided tours, the Court is opening its doors to visitors, allowing them to step inside the UK’s highest court, and even venture behind the scenes, with access to areas such as the magnificent law library, which is not normally open to the public.

Situated in the historic Middlesex Guildhall on Parliament Square, the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom provides an unforgettable experience. Visitors can explore the building’s striking architecture, discover the stories behind landmark legal cases, and sit in the very courtrooms where decisions that shape the nation are made.

Led by expert guides, the 60-minute tours take place several times a week throughout the summer. Each tour includes:

  • Access to all three courtrooms
  • Insight into the judicial process and the constitutional role of the Court
  • Fascinating facts about landmark cases that have shaped UK law
  • A look at the building’s rich history and neo-Gothic design, including works by artists such as Gainsborough and Reynolds
  • Opportunities to ask questions and explore complex legal topics in an accessible way

They offer general admission at £10 plus a booking fee, concession tickets at £8 plus a booking fee, and free entry for under-16s and carers, making it a fantastic experience for families, students, and young people to engage with the world of justice up close.
