Once again, in 2025, the Sir Simon Milton Foundation, Westminster Connects and London Heritage Quarter have donated Christmas Hampers in the hope of sharing a bit of Christmas cheer across Westminster. Come and join us in delivering Christmas Hampers this year to more than 800 residents with support and care needs.

About the Volunteering Role
We will be making the deliveries from Dryburgh Community Hall Hub, SW1V 4ES on 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 December 2025. We are looking for volunteers to deliver the Christmas hampers to residents either on foot or by car. Please note you do not need to commit to all the dates listed, you can specify your availability when signing up. We are particularly in need of volunteers who have vehicles and can help with deliveries by car.
We are expecting to finish most deliveries by the afternoon of 10 December, however, in case we do not finish by this date, please also let us know if you are available on 11 and 12 December to help with any outstanding deliveries.
After you sign up, you will be sent an information pack with useful guidance about speaking with residents who may be vulnerable and information about what to do if you have any concerns, as well as further information and tips about making deliveries.
After you have arrived at Dryburgh Community Hall, you will be put into groups to deliver the hampers to local residents (so if you are coming alone, that is not a problem!)
Available Shifts for Volunteering
Dates: 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 December 2025
Shifts for deliveries on foot: 10:00am – 12:pm, 1:30pm – 3:30pm
Shifts for deliveries by vehicle: 9:30am – 1:30pm, 1pm – 5pm (shift lengths may be much shorter depending on your addresses, for instance, if you are delivering to addresses in one block).
On the Monday morning shift, we will need help to take the 800 hampers from the delivery truck into the hall. You may need to wait in the hall for up to half an hour to be allocated your hampers, but while you are waiting, you will be able to enjoy a hot drink, mince pies and some festive music!
This is a popular role, so we will be asking volunteers to sign up for one shift and indicate if they would be available for additional shifts if necessary. Please remember to only attend for volunteering once you have received an e-mail or phone call confirmation from us as we may become oversubscribed, particularly for on foot volunteers.

Driving volunteers signs will be offered to place on vehicles to demonstrate that you are making deliveries for Westminster City Council.
