The Royal Military Chapel (The Guards’ Chapel)

This year also marks the 10th anniversary of the Flanders Fields Memorial Garden at Wellington Barracks. The Guards Museum has been central in preserving the legacy of those who served in the First World War, and this garden stands as a testament to their courage and sacrifice. Created with soil gathered from 70 battlefields and Commonwealth War Graves in Flanders, the garden offers a sacred place of remembrance.

The annual service will remember the fallen of the two World Wars and more recent conflicts, and pray for peace. Among the congregation will be representatives of the Armed Forces, representatives of uniformed and many other organisations, and members of the public. The service will include a two-minute silence at the Grave of the Unknown Warrior.
