This lion celebrates the moments that bring people together – cheering in a crowd, waving a flag or sharing joy with strangers. Inspired by iconic victories from England’s Lionesses and Three Lions teams, the artwork combines football history with scenes of everyday community and contemporary London life. Filled with fans, families, friendship and collective celebration, the sculpture reflects the energy of the city and the togetherness that creates the roar.

About the Pride in the Quarter Trail

Pride in the Quarter celebrates community and culture with a free public art trail in London. From June to August, find 17 artist-designed lions and lionesses near iconic landmarks including Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square and Big Ben.

Inspired by the Three Lions emblem and this summer’s World Cup, the trail celebrates English football history alongside the people, places and cultural stories shaping modern Britain.
