Through a multi-tonal patchwork of expressive brushstrokes, the design transforms the energy of the World Cup into a visual celebration of diversity. Each vibrant segment represents an individual story, woven together to form a singular and powerful presence – a reminder that strength is found in the richness of shared humanity.

About the Artist: Linda Hortobagyi

Inspired by the movement, green spaces and shared experiences of Westminster, Linda Hortobagyi uses abstract line and colour to explore connection, belonging and collective identity within contemporary London.

About the Pride in the Quarter Trail

Pride in the Quarter celebrates community and culture with a free public art trail in London. From June to August, find 17 artist-designed lions and lionesses near iconic landmarks including Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square and Big Ben.

Inspired by the Three Lions emblem and this summer’s World Cup, the trail celebrates English football history alongside the people, places and cultural stories shaping modern Britain.
