Victor Keegan, author of Lost London and Lost London 2, and local member of Thorney Island Society will talk about the immediate surrounding around, covering the past life of Buckingham Palace, a nearby vineyard and Stag brewery, once the biggest brewery in the country.
You’ll also hear how a prison became Westminster Cathedral, but left its mark and how the area by St James Park station became an ice rink.
Victor will share archive imagery and maps of the area.
