London Heritage Quarter will be taking part in The Big Egg Hunt 2025, a collaboration with Clarence Court that raises funds for the Elephant Family’s crucial conservation efforts. More than 100 beautifully decorated eggs will be hidden across London for six weeks between March 24 and April 27, with the public encouraged to take part in the search. Each egg has been designed by world-renowned artist, designer, architect or jeweller, and will be auctioned off at the end of the hunt. St James’s Park
Find three eggs hidden in St James’s Park, a tranquil oasis steeped in history and natural beauty. Surrounded by iconic landmarks like Buckingham Palace and the Horse Guards Parade, this 57-acre green space boasts stunning flower beds, a serene lake teeming with pelicans, and breath-taking views of the London skyline. The Queen and Her Kings
Designed by Sasha Compton, hosted by London Heritage Quarter
Sasha Compton is a British Artist and Designer based in London. Known for her colourful freehand style in painting or ceramics, Sasha creates modern reinterpretations of classically derived art, working with colour theory to create decorative, whimsical and dreamlike artworks with the aim of brining joy into people’s lives. Sasha has had international recognition in the likes of Financial Times HTSI, House & Garden, Tatler, and World of Interiors.
Created for ‘Eggs for an Era,’ a public art exhibition around Chelsea celebrating The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, Sasha’s egg was the 2020s, an era that she saw as being for intimacy and family. She chose to commemorate the present and future heirs, in Royal blue with celebratory swags of flowers and leaves in her egg called ‘The Queen and her Kings.’
Origins

Martin Aveling (Mart) coined the phrase ‘wildlife artivism’ to encourage stronger calls to action in the field of wildlife art, and in 2021 he was awarded the inaugural ‘David Shepherd Art of Survival Award’ in recognition. Most recently Mart has been working in collaboration with his 3-year-old daughter, Marella, combining her instinctive mark making with his 40+ years of refined technique.
The egg ‘Origins’ celebrates the birth of human creativity, looking back to when people started painting on the walls of caves several thousand years ago. A collaboration between. multi-award-winning wildlife artist, Mart, and his three-year-old daughter, Marella, this work also speaks to the importance of creativity in a child’s development.

Strand Aldwych
Strand Aldwych is a vibrant cultural and social hub in central London, where history meets modern creativity. Family is Everything

Tracey Colliston, and her husband Pete run. their greeting card business “Ginger Betty” from their “old wonky cottage” in Lancashire; surrounded by beautiful hilly countryside, where lots of birds, wildlife and wildflowers can be found. She loves to walk in the area, which is a great source of inspiration for creating her illustrations in the cosy studio they share with their dog, Ralf.
The gentle elephants in the Family is Everything design are here to bring a feeling of being loved and belonging; a little reminder that throughout our busy lives, we should always remember that ‘Family is everything’

The World to Be
Designed by Rob Ryan, hosted by London Heritage Quarter
Rob Ryan was born in 1962 in Cyprus, and now works in the UK. He specialised in Printmaking. He has exhibited widely across the world and written and illustrated several books including ‘This Is For You’, ‘A Sky Full Of Kindness’ and a trilogy of children’s books. His monograph, the first book of his collected artwork, was published last year with Rizzoli.
Warmi Pacha (Women Earth)

London-based Peruvian born artist Gisella Stapleton’s vibrant work is inspired by the strength of women and the richness of culture and the natural wealth of her land. Using a wide range of materials, she fuses tradition with contemporary elements. She has recently been commissioned by STUDIO CANAL and VISIT LONDON the creation of the PADDINGTON MURAL for as a symbol of diversity in London.
‘Warmi Pacha’ embodies the power and bravery of the Latin American woman. Rooted in the earth, she is fierce and nurturing-like the Peruvian jaguar by her side. The corn symbolises abundance, while the hummingbird brings wisdom and gentleness. When a woman stands in her presence, embracing both her strength and calm, she becomes a force of creation, mirroring the earth’s boundless ability to nurture, sustain and flourish.
Buckingham Palace
Buckingham Palace, the iconic residence of the British monarch, stands as a symbol of royal heritage and grandeur. All the King’s Horses, and All The King’s Men, Couldn’t Put The Green Man Together Again

Alice Shirley is an artist and designer who works exclusively by hand in a wide variety of materials. Her work primarily focuses on the natural world and storytelling. She has been collaborating with the French fashion house Hermès Paris creating designs for their silk scarves, has worked with other luxury brands and completed private commissions for clients. worldwide.
Their Majesties The King and Queen, Joint Presidents of Elephant Family, have commissioned an eggs-tra special sculpture to be displayed at Buckingham Palace as part of the Big Egg Hunt. Created by celebrated artist and Royal Drawing School alumna, Alice Shirley, the Green Man Humpty Dumpty Egg gives an eco-twist to the classic nursery rhyme. Look out for a leafy green face in this intricate design, which is inspired by Their Majesties’ love of nature and conservation. The Green Man is a celebration of the natural world which also reflects that Easter is a festival of Spring. It has been created using acrylic paint and weatherproof varnish.

Charlotte Colbert is an award-winning filmmaker and multi-media artist. Her work has been shown at galleries, art fairs and institutions including the V&A, Montpellier Contemporain, Frieze & Art Basel. Charlotte Colbert’s surreal and iconic work sits in the same psychic vein as Toomer, Dalí, and Breton,” Phaidon. Her critically acclaimed BIFA- nominated directorial debut, She Will, premiered at the London Film Festival.
The egg is full of possibilities, bursting to pupate, and the eye gives it focus. Charlotte’s work looks at dreams and storytelling and how we might channel these human superpowers within each of us to imagine the most nourishing and exciting futures for ourselves.

Emilie Pugh was born in London in 1988 and studied at Byam Shaw School of Art and at the Ruskin School of Art and Drawing at Oxford University. She currently lives and works in London.

Bushra Fakhoury is a sculptor influenced by political events, personal experience, and travel including her time in tropical forests in Africa. Inspired by Goya and Rodin and encouraged by friends including Sir Eduardo Paolozzi and Dame Elisabeth Frink, she has exhibited at galleries including Westminster City of Sculpture, sold in Sotheby auctions and won prizes in exhibitions including Royal West of England Academy and Society of Women Artists.
Blackbirds are associated with magic, mystery, and the need for change or new beginnings.
Double Yolk

Maia Byrne’s style plays with distortion. Her most recent work has been influenced by human psychology, and focuses on social disruption through symbolism, while her earlier work plays with more tangible sources of disruption, such as water, glass and reflections. She loves using bold, playful colours in her work, and has more recently moved into digital illustration.
The concept of the Russian doll reveals two layers which can be interpreted as the present and the former self, the present and the future self or as mother and daughter. The intergenerational similarities create strong connections however they have their own symbolic elements as well as individual character and emotions.
Garden of Joy

Born in Istanbul, Ozlem draws inspiration from the rich artistic traditions of the
Mediterranean. Her unique artistic style draws from her academic background in Biology and Botany weaving together natural scenes and imaginative worlds, offering a captivating exploration of life’s fantasy, beauty and complexity. Ozlem’s work, infused with her curiosity and passion, serves as a joyful testament to the world she explores, attracting collectors worldwide.
Inspired by The Royal Parks and the joy they bring to London, this design combines the Tudor Rose with bright colours inspired by a striking dress worn by Her Majesty The Queen for the Royal Variety Performance in 1999 to create a fantasy world of floral joy. Created using acrylic, this egg celebrates the harmony between the natural world, the royal legacy, and the happiness these spaces provide.
