London Heritage Quarter and ATG Entertainment West End Creative Learning and the Duke of York Theatre today announce a powerful new creative learning partnership, launching in March 2026 to mark International Women’s Day and spanning a year-long programme of theatre, dialogue, and action.
Rooted in a shared commitment to women’s safety, empowerment, and positive cultural change, the partnership brings together bold, socially engaged theatre programmes that amplify unheard voices, challenge harmful norms, and inspire the next generation to build safer, more respectful communities.
The programmes launch on 6 March 2026, ahead of International Women’s Day, and culminates with a major public event on 8 March 2027, bringing together artists, participants, partners, and policymakers on a West End stage to reflect on impact, learning, and the work still to be done.

HER VOICE, is a ten-month, trauma-informed theatre programme for women who have experienced unsafe environments, including survivors of domestic abuse and residents of supported housing. HER VOICE creates a safe, nurturing space where participants can rebuild confidence, reclaim their narratives, and transform personal experience into collective creative expression.
The programme culminates in a powerful, participant-created performance at the Duke of York stage in the heart of the West End in December 2026 – ensuring women’s stories are not only heard, but celebrated.
Alongside this, MAN IN THE MAKING will begin as an unapologetically honest theatre programme for boys aged 15-18, delivered in schools and youth centres. Through performance, discussion, and storytelling, young men are supported to explore identity, power, respect, and responsibility – and to understand their role in creating safer spaces for women and girls.
Other activities such as a women in technical theatre event will provide a hands-on, inspiring event introducing young women to backstage and technical theatre careers through workshops, panels, and mentorship with female industry professionals.
Conor Hunt, Senior Creative Learning Manager (West End) at ATG Entertainment, said: “This partnership is about much more than creating theatre – it’s about creating space. Space for women to reclaim, share and shape their stories through creative practice, and space for young men to question, unlearn, and reimagine what strength and respect really look like. Theatre has a unique power to hold difficult conversations with honesty and care, and through this programme we’re proud to be using West End stages and creative practice to support healing, challenge harmful norms, and help build safer, more equitable communities for everyone.”
Ruth Duston OBE, CEO of London Heritage Quarter, said: “By giving women the space to reclaim their stories and engaging young men in conversations about respect and responsibility, these programmes are building stronger personal relationships.
“We are proud to support work that not only celebrates creativity but also drives meaningful cultural impact across London.”
Man in the Making and HER VOICE will also be replicated in Liverpool via ATG Entertainment’s Liverpool Empire Creative Learning department.
Both programmes are now open for applications. For more information contact WestEndCLCP@atgentertainment.com
