The facilities available to hire at LSE range from the Peacock Theatre , a 1,000 seat West End Theatre, through tiered lecture theatres for 400 and 200, our two innovative Harvard-style theatres for 60, six modern flat-floored teaching rooms for 120 to a range of smaller seminar rooms for 20-50 people and more traditional committee style meeting rooms. Their venues are located around LSE’s Houghton Street campus, from the New Academic Building on the corner of Lincoln’s Inn Fields to their academic facilities in Clement House on Aldwych. Their buildings are accessible with excellent transport links. As well as having academic-style facilities suitable for meetings, seminars or training courses, they are an excellent venue if you are holding a large high profile debate, lecture, or press event.
Events held at LSE benefit from the latest AV equipment with in-house support, a range of catering services and an experienced Event Services Team who will be available to give advice and assistance at each stage, from initial enquiry right through to the successful completion of the event itself.
Availability of rooms
They hire out our facilities when they are not in use for LSE teaching and events, so for larger events they mainly deal with evenings, weekends and vacations – see Vacation dates for more information. Smaller meetings (for up to 30 people) can be accommodated during the working day throughout the year including term time.
